The Core PCA is a trained worker who provides in-home personal care and activities incidental to personal care for Agency patients while under the supervision of a nurse supervisor.

In addition to all responsibilities described in the Nightingale PCA/CNA position description, the Core PCA also performs on-call duties and administrative tasks as needed.

The Core PCA performs on-call duties on a week-to-week rotation with other Core employees.  Core PCAs must carry an on-call cell phone during their week on-call.  When needed the on-call PCA must respond to calls and perform any necessary client services.  The Core PCA will perform client services on a regular schedule as well as any on-call service hours.  Administrative tasks will be performed in the local office as needed under the supervision of local manager.
